Our student teacher took a few students to Fredrick Meijer Gardens to see the butterfly exhibit.
Every year we attend the Christian Learning Center Network's Connections Banquet Celebration. Inclusion programs from around West Michigan get together and have dinner, watch an improv show, and have dancing and play games. We had a good-sized group this year, and even got to see some of our alumni!
This January we went to see "A Dog's Way Home" at the movie theater. It was a great movie, and a great way to start off what turned into our "snow week!"
This November we went out to eat at Olive Garden! Going out to eat is always such a fun time, and is a great chance to apply our conversation and money skills that we practice in class.
We went bowling at Fairlanes. We had a good-sized group and had a great time!
We went to the connections banquet the first weekend in March. We had a much smaller group than last year, due to the banquet being the same time as the play, but we still had a great time!! Dinner, entertainment, costume contest, and dancing!
We went to the movies! We saw The Greatest Showman and everyone enjoyed it!
We went out to Olive Garden on a Friday night. Students dressed in their "Sunday Best" for our fancy meal out! This outing is special because we not only got to spend time with our friends, but we also got to practice our money skills, tipping, ordering, and proper eating etiquette. Here are some pictures from the night:
Robinette's Apple Orchard
It was the first really cold and rainy weekend of the season, so we decided to spend it outside! We had a great time eating donuts, drinking hot apple cider, wandering through the rows of trees and doing the corn maze. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted all of the pictures I took on my camera. Thankfully, some of our Sidekicks snagged some phone pictures- see below!
CCHS vs. Northpointe Football Game
Our football team may not be having the best season, but the games are still a lot of fun to attend! In September, a few of us headed over to the football game together. Some students chose to join the student section, while others decided to sit in between the student section and the adults (where it was a little quieter!). We had a blast- check out some pictures below!
Here are some pictures from the Whitecaps game! It was a great "final outing" of the school year!
Connections Banquet 2017
We had a great time at the Connections Banquet hosted by the CLC Network! We played games, ate dinner, watched performances by God's Girls and Pop Scholars Improv, danced the night away, and (clearly) took TONS of pictures! Here a just a few for you to enjoy.
